Where is our Retreat?

Just south of the Bay of Banderas, we are only 12 miles south of Puerto Vallarta International Airport (PVR). Our resort is accessible only by boat.

What airport to I fly into?

Do I need a passport valid for up to 6 months after our retreat?

Yes. You must have a valid passport to fly to Mexico, and it must be valid through six months after your planned travel.

Is airport transfer to the resort included?

Yes, within certain flight arrival and departure times, transportation is included.
Arrival Time must be before 4pm.
Departure time must be after 12pm.

How does the transportation work upon arrival?

Greeted at the airport upon arrival after you get through customs and immigration
Transfer in taxi to the pier of API Terminal Marítima in Marina Vallarta (15 min)
Transfer by boat from the Marina Vallarta pier to Mixto Resort (45 min)
It is recommended to change or wear comfortable clothes for your trip to our resort. You’ll be joining us by boat, so you may get wet up to your knees when stepping off the boat and onto our beach. We suggest wearing shorts, sandals, and sunscreen. We also recommend safeguarding your cell phone and valuables in a waterproof dry bag.

What if I miss my flight or it is delayed?

Some things are beyond our control and in this case, due to safety for getting there by boat. If you arrive after 4pm, you would need to secure lodging nearby and we can suggest a few places. This would unfortunately be at your own expense. The next morning, transportation will then be provided to our retreat from the marina. We are going at a time of year when this is less likely to happen. Still it is strongly recommended to get travel insurance.

ROOMMATES

I would like to book a shared occupancy, but I don’t have someone coming with me, is that okay?

ABOUT THE YOGA

How advanced is the yoga? Can I come if I am a beginner?

Classes will be open level. The morning classes will be more challenging flow-style practices. We always encourage modifications as needed.
On a physical level, you will be having weight-bearing on your wrists in the morning classes in poses like downdog and plank. And you will also need to be able to move from standing to sitting with relative ease as is the nature of a vinyasa class. Again, modifications will always be welcome and encouraged.
Afternoon classes are more of a yin/restorative/sound meditation offering.

Will we have yoga twice every day?

CANCELATION POLICY

What is your cancelation policy and do you make exceptions for extreme cases such as sudden death in the family, severe injury, etc.

All payments are final, there are no refunds.
A non-refundable deposit of $800 is required to secure your spot
Additional balance payments made are refundable up to 120 days prior to the retreat start date. To cancel, email alexdawson1@mac.com prior to 120 days of the start of the retreat in order to secure a refund of additional balances paid. The initial $800 deposit remains non-refundable. All balances paid are non-refundable and non-transferable within 120 days of the retreat start date.
Our cancelation policy is very strict, and we do not offer refunds even in the event of sudden illness, injury, or death in the family. However, please, please get travel insurance as this has been a very effective way for people to protect themselves in those cases. Read your policy. And if you want to have Cancel for Any Reason plan, you usually must purchase that within a week or so of making your first payment for your trip.
