Krista Vernoff is an Emmy-nominated and Golden Globe-winning writer, and a Showrunner with a remarkable 25-year journey in the heart of Hollywood.

Starting as a writer and ascending to the helm of some of television's most iconic shows, Krista's career has been defined by hands-on experiences and a commitment to breaking down industry barriers.

As a creative force behind ABC's long-running hit series "Grey's Anatomy" and its spinoff "Station 19”, Krista has left an indelible mark on the television landscape. Her inclusive leadership style, advocacy for equity and diversity, and dedication to creating meaningful, impactful stories have helped shape the industry's narrative.

Beyond her contributions to hit series like "Shameless", “Charmed”, “Wonderfalls”, “Law & Order”, and "Rebel," Krista is known for her thought-provoking essays on Hollywood's culture and her emergence as a prominent voice in the #MeToo movement.

Her company, Trip The Light Productions, founded in 2018 with her husband Alexandre Schmitt, has several projects in development including Reese Witherspoon’s book club pick, “First Lie Wins,” with Octavia Spencer‘s ORIT Productions, and a multicam comedy starring Katey Sagal and Jane Lynch.  Outside of her work in television, she is a screenwriter, an author, a teacher, a playwright, an essayist, and she’s working on her first novel.

A graduate of Boston University's College of Fine Arts, Krista is not just a storyteller—she's a mentor and guide.
